Anyway, I'm not really very happy with the flower design on the heart, needs a bit more work I think. I do like the lettering though which works quite well on its own:

A bit of a work in progress today, I'm trying to work on a few more different animal characters. This is my first attempt at a fox. It is more painted and less cut out paper than I would like it to be. I tried to do a badger friend for the fox too but lots more practice needed! My favourite part of this piece is the butterfly in the background. Although I'm not so happy with this piece at the moment it has given me several ideas of what I could do next...

I have been avoiding creating figures for my work for some time. I wasn't sure where to start but here are my first three!  I need to keep practicing - I never quite know what to do with the arms!

Not sure what to call this piece... the jug pattern is made from some vintage wallpaper that I found under some wood chipped wallpaper that needed removing. I then found myself steaming the wallpaper off in 2 layers to save as much of the patterned paper as possible. I have 2 other patterns I found in this way too - makes decorating much more rewarding although it tends to take me twice as long...

Day 3 - cherryade

Another mixed media piece today - I picked out a few words from the newspaper to inspire some different designs - pop became cherryade (in a panda pops's style bottle) which I used to love - more because of it's amazing colour, I'm not sure it actually tasted so great...

Day 2 - dotty tea pot & friends

A recurring theme for many of my designs - tea pots and cups... I just really like them, they seem to have their own personalities. 

This piece is mixed media - wallpaper, tissue paper and paint. I'm enjoying working in this way at the moment and developing the style...
